Customer Support Assistant - Isando, Johannesburg

 

A Vacancy exists at WearCheck Johannesburg for the above position. The applicant will be responsible for all customer support functions (including sales, after sales and general enquiries) as well as general office administration duties.

MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Attending to all incoming telephonic queries from customers
  • Co-ordinating credit application for the branch
  • The administrative functions needed when training courses are run
  • Stock take, issuing and ordering of stationary
  • Attending to the overnight courier items
  • Reconciling dispatch notes and deliveries
  • Managing the printing processes
  • Switchboard and reception duties when needed
  • General office duties
  • Contacting all Customers where information accompanying the samples is incomplete or conflicting with the database and rectifying the incorrect information where necessary
  • Generating quotations
  • Allocating products to customers and generating dispatch notes
  • Follow up on all outstanding quotes, orders, and queries
  • Petty cash duties

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Education - Matric
  • Previous work experience in a sales environment is essential as well as the ability to generate quotes and capture sales
  • Computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills and customer liaison skills – ability to liaise at all levels
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills and good time management
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Ability to communicate in English required and the knowledge of Afrikaans and another South African indigenous language advantageous

The position of Country Manager is now available in the Dubai Office.

The role is responsible for Business Development, Technical Support and overall Management of the local WearCheck company, reporting to the South African Head office.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Managing all operational aspects of the local company and staff
  • Providing technical support to customers
  • Retention and increase in the Sales revenue

  • Proven track record in Business Development/revenue growth.
  • Excellent Leadership, Communication, Team Building and Change Management skills
  • Methodical, accurate, conscientious, energetic and technically-minded
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Laboratory Assistant (based in Isando, Johannesburg)
Main purpose of the position: To ensure that all oil samples received in the laboratory are accurately and timeously analysed according to the ISO 9001:2015 quality policies, procedures and work instructions. This will allow the Diagnostic department to successfully diagnose the samples.
Required education: Preferably Mathematics and Science at Matric level.
Required work experience: Ideally 1 year in similar position.
Desirable additional education, work experience and personal qualities: Accurate, attention to detail, technically minded, methodical, energetic, team player, ability to work under pressure.

On-Site Oil Sampling Specialist (6 month Fixed Term Contract) based at Customer premises in

Boksburg

Main Job Functions:

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for the co-ordination of the entire oil sampling program on a WearCheck Customer Site.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum Education – Matric
  • Previous work experience in a technical environment is essential
  • High level of MS Excel knowledge including the generation and working with pivot tables
  • Knowledge of oil analysis, oil analysis programs and off road machines will be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills and customer liaison skills – ability to liaise at all levels
  • Good interpersonal, organisational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail, team player, friendly and patient personality

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving, monitoring and screening of samples from sites and ensuring all required information is supplied with the sample and with feedback
  • Monitoring and managing all sample reports, Online users and the Fleet Technical Library
  • Monthly KPIs regarding trend analysis
  • Maintain a detailed history of sampling in MS Excel (Pivot Tables)
  • Managing and co-ordinating trial projects such as inter alia lubricant trials, filtration effectiveness
  • Communicate and compare lubricant equivalents between lubricant suppliers and OEMs and inform OEM of latest lubrication and wear analytics
  • Provide in-house advice on lubricants and suitability of customer oil vs OEM recommendations and provide telephonic / email assistance to customers on analysis results via the OEM Sample hotline
  • Authorise and maintain movement of equipment and database access
  • Schedule training with WearCheck for artisans, mechanics, etc
  • In conjunction with WearCheck’s diagnostic department inform the OEM of irregularities/trends/unusual phenomena across fleets
  • Liaising with WearCheck’s technical team to assist with Tribology / technical backup and historical data
  • Assist OEM in improving and maintaining a high quality of sampling practices and compile weekly and monthly reports with a dashboard detailing analysis results trends for the OEM
  • Attend and present on a quarterly basis, at the Customer’s Engineering Overview meeting/conference, the overall progress of the oil analysis program

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum Education – Completed tertiary qualification in Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Technology or similar.

  • Working knowledge of SANAS 17025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all laboratory analytical testing and calibration is planned and performed accurately in accordance to work instructions as well as procedures
  • Guarantee that the evaluation, reporting and interpretation of test results are accurately reported to customers according to the requirements by following recognised analytical standards, including the responsibilities of a technical signatory in accordance with SANAS 17025.
  • Must be deemed competent and authorised to perform all calibration, test methods as well as utilization of all laboratory equipment.
  • Manage consumables and ensuring that laboratory consumables are organised and stored according to safety instructions.
  • Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to personnel.
  • Manage the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance in-line with the planned maintenance program.
  • Train new employees on the safe use of laboratory equipment and accurately follow procedures.
  • Manage the reliability and availability of all Laboratory equipment by checking processes and final output
  • Sample registration and data capture in accordance with internal procedures.
